Are you passionate about breaking down linguistic and cultural barriers? Do you have a keen interest in advancing natural language processing (NLP) for low-resource languages? Join our vibrant team at KInIT, where innovation meets impact!
The Kempelen Institute of Intelligent Technologies (KInIT) is an independent, non-profit research institute based in Bratislava, dedicated to advancing intelligent technology research. We are proud to be the first institute of our kind in Slovakia, bringing together top-tier researchers, industry leaders, and a strong international network to push the boundaries of AI and NLP. Notably, we rank among the top 3 organizations in Horizon Europe for the amount of funding secured per researcher, which underscores our commitment to impactful and high-quality research.
At KInIT, we view low-resource NLP as one of the most exciting areas in machine learning and AI today. It extends well beyond improving support for a handful of low-resource languages. We believe that its emphasis on developing smarter ways for models to acquire knowledge and skills (such as bootstrapping reasoning and self-improvement techniques) will ultimately prevail even for large languages – rendering hacks like recruiting armies of annotators and pushing performance through sheer force unnecessary.
We are seeking a talented and motivated researcher; your role will involve:
We are excited to discuss how we can support your career aspirations and look forward to hearing from you. You are also welcome to spend one workday with us to get to know us and get first-hand experience of our work environment.
Join us in pushing the frontiers of NLP and making a meaningful impact on the world!
