Study Visit: Network4Growth Visegrad Fund project in Prague

The Visegrad project Network4Growth brings together a group of professionals from academia, business and public institutions who are interested in mutual learning and exchange of knowledge in the fields of technology transfer and innovations. KInIT is part of the International Visegrad Fund project as a partner in the consortium of partners from Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Armenia and Georgia.

KInIT as an independent non-profit institute focusing on IT research has a key role in representing Slovakia in Network4Growth. Our mission is to improve Slovakia´s competitiveness by cultivating diverse talent in a multidisciplinary research environment, to connect private and public sectors through active co-operation and to encourage responsible innovation. The project’s goals are very well aligned with ours so we were delighted to participate in this initiative that focuses on internationalization, exchange of knowledge and connecting professionals from business, academia and public administration.

One of the project’s activities was a study visit in Prague which took place from 8 to 11 June 2022. Our researchers Viera Rozinajová and Daniela Chudá, who participated in the project, took part on behalf of KInIT.

The participants had a unique opportunity to learn, share experiences and network with professionals from different areas of expertise.  During their stay in Prague and its surroundings, they learnt about the R&D landscape and instruments supporting technology transfer available in Czechia and met representatives of key stakeholders.

They also visited the Czech Institute of Informatics and Robotics of the Czech Technical University in Prague (CIIRC CTU). The group also went to see the centres of scientific excellence to learn about their technology transfer activities: Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings of the Czech Technical University – UCEEB in Buštěhrad and laser centre HiLASE in Dolní Břežany.
