Software Engineer in an AI-research organisation

As an AI research institute, KInIT develops and maintains multiple software solutions for its administration and research activities (e.g., data scraping infrastructure, computing infrastructure, deployed ML models, experimental user applications). 

We seek a software engineer to join the development and maintenance of our infrastructure and tools. This call welcomes applications from junior to mid-level candidates.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Software development and maintenance of internal administration tools used by a research organisation
  • Software development and maintenance within scientific research projects, ranging from fundamental research (experimental software) to applied research (early product prototyping)
  • Development of data scraping and processing infrastructures to support research projects
  • Embedding ML models (especially language models) into software tool prototypes
  • Collaboration with researchers, participation in European and international grant research projects
  • (if senior) Leading junior research engineers, junior researchers and interns

Our technology stack:

Python, JavaScript, Jupyter, Git, GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, PyTorch, Keras, Pandas, scikit-learn (it is not expected to have experience with all mentioned technologies).

Requirements

  • Experience in software development
  • Python programming
  • Skills that are nice to have:
    • Development of information systems
    • Software integration, DevOps
    • Web development experience
    • Machine learning and data science

Salary 

The minimum offered salary is 2 400 EUR gross. The final offer strongly depends on the seniority and experience of a successful candidate.
