Software research engineer will contribute to the design and implementation of tools for experimental evaluation of AI models and methods and building tools for our research and innovation projects in the domain of AI for disinformation tackling . The work of a software engineer will also help in practical use of research results by media professionals and fact-checkers. Most of our projects are international in cooperation with foreign researchers, they are focusing on interesting and important fields such as misinformation, supervision of social media impact on society and natural language understanding.

Experienced NLP Research Engineer will contribute to the development of the NLP field in Slovakia to become a strong player in world’s AI and to bridge academia and industry, participate in interesting collaboration with industry and knowledge transfer. The focus will also be on the development of intelligent NLP tools and services which can be seminal for Slovak language and will be re-used in other projects and collaborations. Our new colleague will be bringing research ideas and prototypes to life, getting AI closer to non-research users.  Slovakia is one of the largest growing global NLP markets so there are many opportunities to get involved in NLP solutions.

The team dealing with disinformation tackling seeks for reinforcement of the team, too to tackle the international project CEDMO (Central European Digital Media Observatory). The goal of the project is to support the work of fact-checkers through research and development of AI-based tools. The interdisciplinary research cooperation (fact-checker, journalists, social and computer scientists) offers unique opportunities with real-life impacts. In this way, we aim at supporting the democracy processes and reducing one of the major threats of nowadays. 

Experienced NLP Researcher who will contribute to the development of the NLP field in Slovakia to become a strong player in world’s AI and to bridge academia and industry, participate in interesting collaboration with industry and knowledge transfer. Slovak as a low-resource language is less developed in terms of NLP therefore there is a big opportunity to be the one who provides some intelligent NLP services. 

We bear in mind the importance of responsible use of intelligent technologies. Therefore we are growing our Ethics and Human Values in Technology team and searching for an enthusiastic and dedicated professional in AI and data ethics. Our new teammate will participate in research projects related to the ethical and societal impacts of intelligent technologies and their application in practice. We seek a “practical philosopher” who will help us to bring the world of engineering and humanities closer.
