Tomas has 15 years of IT experience, working as a solution architect, BI consultant and data scientist with technologies like MS SQL Server, Teradata, Hadoop, CRM, Informatica and Tomcat Application Servers on platforms like Windows, Unix, Earth Engine, Google Colab, Fast.ai and cloud solutions AWS and GCP.
After a decade of working for international corporations in logistic, financial and telco sectors, Tomas shifted his career to non-profit space, where he co-worked on the research of poverty prediction from satellite imagery and published a paper in cooperation with Asian Development Bank. The scope of his research is computer vision, object detection and natural language processing.
