Ivan Sokáč

Before settling into the world of AI research, Ivo led the Playboy brand as CEO and later headed Bratislava’s OLO, where he was responsible for waste management across the entire city. After Playboy and rubbish, AI research seems like the logical next step in Ivo’s career.

At KInIT, he oversees the budgets, operations and numbers that keep research running. He also helps shape the institute’s strategic direction, figuring out where KInIT should be heading and how to get there. Ivo knows that scientific excellence needs not only solid foundations in funding, timelines and resources, but also a clear sense of direction.

His trademark is his legendary poker face. You can never tell whether he has just closed a seven-figure deal or is simply thinking about lunch. That makes him someone you always want on your side of the table.
