Diana Lokere is the Chief People & Culture Officer at the Kempelen Institute of Intelligent Technologies (KInIT), which she joined at the very beginning of 2021. She brought with her extensive experience from the private sector across a wide range of industries, as well as her wide smile, which she refuses to let go of even in the most stressful situations. There are only two things she genuinely enjoys more than anything else in her professional life: excellence and science. Rumour has it that the chance to work alongside excellent science was simply too tempting to resist.
She is responsible for company culture, team development, and cultivating the exceptional working atmosphere that defines the institute. Her role sits at a rare intersection: building a genuinely human-centred environment within an AI research organisation. She is also responsible for the institute’s external communication. She firmly believes that some messages are best delivered through a well-timed hug.
Her exceptional communication skills were recently recognised when she was ranked among the Top 20 Most Influential HR Leaders on Slovak LinkedIn. While this was a proud achievement, there is little doubt that she has the potential to break into the Top 10 in the coming years.
Diana is an animal lover and a well-known cat person. In her spare time, she enjoys activities that balance each other perfectly: punching people (in Thai boxing training). Her favourite authors are Ernest Hemingway and Ľudmila Podjavorinská.
