Andrej Ridzik

Andrej’s current focus is on leading and contributing to a broad portfolio of activities within the KInIT NLP team. These span research collaborations across multiple NLP domains, commercial projects delivering LLM-powered solutions, and KInIT’s own LLM-related efforts including benchmarking, adaptation, and the development of new Slovak models. As part of KInIT’s research engineering leadership group, he also contributes to internal engineering activities, from infrastructure to team coordination. A notable part of his work is engagement with the wider Slovak NLP community, where he leads KInIT’s involvement in the Benchmarking working group of the Slovak NLP Community and contributes to broader initiatives advancing language resources and technology for Slovak.

Andrej’s broader expertise spans the development of AI software solutions, workflow automation, and MLOps/DevOps. Throughout his career, he has worked as an AI engineer and data scientist on projects across a wide range of domains — including bioinformatics, speech technologies (automatic speech recognition, text-to-speech), machine translation, and recommender systems — with natural language processing remaining his main area of expertise and passion.
