AFO: International Festival of Pop-Science Films

Take part in the 58th edition of the AFO Film Festival

The International Festival of Pop-Science Films is organized by the Palacký University in Olomouc. It now belongs to the largest educational events in Europe. Every year, the festival hosts renowned scientists and scholars from all over the world. 

The AFO Festival will take place on 25. – 30. of April 2023 in Olomouc, Czech Republic. You can look forward to interesting films, lectures, workshops and concerts. 

The festival will also host a panel discussion organized by the Studio N podcast. The discussion during the Studio N LIVE showcase will be on the topic “How intelligent is artificial intelligence?”.

Maria Bieliková will take part in the discussion together with Tomáš Mikolov and science journalist Petr Koubský. They will examine different aspects of artificial intelligence. As AI is now a dominant topic in technology, the panelists will discuss current issues, including: 

  • What will AI contribute to humanity and what will it take away? 
  • Are we really witnessing a technological breakthrough?

The Studio N LIVE discussion will take place on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in the Theatre Hall of the Art Centre of Palacký University in Olomouc. It will be moderated by Filip Titlbach and Vítek Svoboda.
