AI Awards – Registration deadline extended 

Bratislava, February 7, 2024 – Exciting news for AI enthusiasts! The deadline for registration for the AI Awards 2024 has been officially extended until February 29, 2024. We are also pleased to announce that we have established a media partnership with the renowned Forbes magazine.

The laureate of the AI Awards will be announced during the prestigious Forbes Business Fest event on May 30, 2024. This will be a great opportunity for our finalists to not only gain visibility at the event, but also to gain valuable media coverage in the Forbes magazine. In addition to the high profile publicity, the best AI system will also receive expert and independent consultation from our experts.

This year’s focus is on the crucial development and deployment of trustworthy artificial intelligence (AI) systems in alignment with ethical standards. Recognizing the pivotal role of trustworthy AI in the technological landscape, the awards aim to honor entities and individuals dedicated to implementing AI systems with a commitment to ethical and human-centered principles.

Trustworthy AI, a critical factor in today’s tech-driven world, extends its influence across various aspects of human society. This initiative emphasizes the integral connection between AI and ethics, sparking discussions on ethical concerns related to AI’s impact on human autonomy, reliability, security, and privacy.

The AI Awards – Trustworthy AI seeks out and recognizes organizations or individuals who develop and implement AI systems with the principles of trustworthy and human-centered AI in mind. This initiative highlights the connection between AI and ethics, and opens the debate on ethical issues surrounding AI’s impact on human autonomy, reliability, security and privacy. 

The AI Awards is a national award that highlights the efforts of Slovak developers and providers of AI systems. The award is open to Slovak companies or individuals who have successfully developed an AI system or who cooperate with foreign partners in the field of AI on the Slovak market.

You can submit your AI system for evaluation until 29 February 2024 at aiawards.sk. You can find detailed information about the awards on the website. The submitted AI systems will be evaluated by an expert jury in two rounds between February 2024 and March 2024. The expert jury consists of members of the Committee on Ethics and Regulation of Artificial Intelligence (CERAI) and representatives of Hopero.

The laureate will receive a public award for responsible development and use of AI, promotion of their AI system in the network of Slovak innovators through the European Digital Innovation Hub – Hopero, and a professional and independent evaluation of their AI system by AI experts.
