Martin Garaj

Research areas: renewable energy, optimisation, modeling, machine learning

Position: Research Consultant 08/2022-06/2023

Martin is a volunteer working on multi-objective optimization of household systems incorporating renewable energy sources and energy storage devices. His role is based on his interests in modeling and simulation of non-linear systems and both convex and non-convex optimization. He has earned his PhD at City University of Hong Kong by investigating novel ways of quantifying degradation in photovoltaic devices. The research involved cooperation with companies Kmetrics and SolarTester and Danish Technical University and restulted into several publications in international journals and conferences as well as several patents.

His research interests include modeling of systems involving renewable energy sources, data acquisition, optimisation, machine learning and graph theory.
