Financial Analyst

We are looking for a detail-oriented financial analyst with at least 3 years of experience in economics to join our team, responsible for preparing documents (reports) for the financial management of a research institution whose portfolio consists of grants funded mainly from European sources (Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, Interreg, etc.), and cooperation with the private, or also public and state sectors.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform daily data processing and ensure accurate updates, primarily in Excel
  • Continuous maintenance of data in the required form for top management
  • Assist in the preparation of regular and ad hoc reports
  • Contribute to the preparation of partial budgets (revenues and costs)
  • Support activities in the creation of financial reports, such as cash flow and/or long-term asset management
  • Collaborate closely with finance, accounting, research, and operations teams
  • Support in the implementation of new (financial) processes into practice

Requirements

  • Education: secondary school qualification; a University degree in economics, finance, accounting, IT or a related field is an advantage
  • Experience: Overview of financial management of projects (EU grants are an advantage), knowledge of budgeting and cash flow planning is an advantage
  • Skills: Advanced knowledge of working with MS Excel (pivot tables, formulas, visualisations); analytical and critical thinking skills; attention to detail and accuracy
  • SQL is an advantage
  • Experience with public administration is welcome but not essential

Salary

The offered salary is 2,000 EUR gross. The final offer strongly depends on the seniority and experience of a successful candidate.
