AI4Europe Workshop: The needs of PhD students in the field of AI

We would like to invite you to a workshop about the results of our interviews with 26 European PhD students working in the field of AI. 

Thanks to our qualitative research, we gained quite interesting insights into the problems and needs of these young professionals. We visualized the problems as mind maps and needs as user journeys. We outlined some solutions to simplify the work of the young AI researchers / newcomers to AI research. We have also come up with some possible guidelines and other educational resources for this group as well as opportunities for an AI community creation.

The outline of the workshop:

  • Methodology of the interviews with European PhD students working in the field of AI
  • Problems and needs of the PhD students
  • Possible solutions (user journeys, mind maps)
  • Plan of results validation

This workshop is intended for the AI4Europe partners as well as for PhD students working in the field of AI. The results may be interesting to discuss with the community in general, so please don’t hesitate to share this workshop with PhD students or anyone who might find this topic interesting.
