Celebrating KInIT’s 4th birthday

One of the milestones of our institute is September 9, 2020 – the day Kempelen Institute of Intelligent Technologies was born. Fast-forward to today, and we are celebrating our 4th anniversary. We are stronger, more ambitious, and better prepared to take on the challenges of tomorrow! To celebrate our 4th birthday, we hosted a great party in September.

KInIT is an independent, non-profit institute dedicated to intelligent technology research. Day to day, we push the boundaries of the current state of AI and conduct basic research supported by the private sector. In just four years, we’ve grown into a community of over 90 talented people who share our values of openness, honesty, respect and curiosity. These values guide our research and every other aspect of our mission.

We are currently working on both European and national projects, as well as several collaborations with industry partners. In the past four years, our partnerships crossed the borders and KInIT is now involved in 96 international projects in 27 countries. Together with our partners and supporters, we are accomplishing amazing things. Thank you for your hard work and encouragement!

Beyond research, our aim is also to sustain quality education. Through our civic association BrAIn, we support more than 35 students interested in the field of artificial intelligence. We are building a great platform for our PhD students, who eagerly work on their dissertation topics while exploring ethical and trustworthy AI practices.

We couldn’t be more proud of our achievements so far and will continue to build on them in the coming years.
