Position: Research Intern

Richard Šimek is a fourth-year student at C. S. Lewis Bilingual Gymnasium in Bratislava. He spent his third year at Appleby College in Canada through the ASSIST Scholars programme.

At KInIT, he develops a voice-based AI application that helps Slovak highschool students practise for the oral part of the Maturita exam. His previous projects include a Slovak clickbait classifier built by fine-tuning SlovakBERT and a machine learning model for predicting basketball game outcomes.

Outside of school and work, he enjoys skiing, working out and playing the drums.
