DELTA Pardubice High School Students on an Internship at KInIT

In June, high school students from DELTA Pardubice visited our institute for an Erasmus+ internship. Under the supervision of Jakub Šimko, they worked on the Telescope application as part of the CEDMO 2.0 project. This application aims to track and predict the impact of social media posts, including disinformation.

The students successfully developed a demo application that will serve as the foundation for the final product. They also participated in an international NLP competition on Kaggle, using advanced machine learning techniques and neural networks.

The mentors were impressed by the students’ IT skills, which were on a par with university students. The students’ creativity and technical skills made a significant contribution to the project.

Partnership between DELTA Pardubice and KInIT provides valuable opportunities for students interested in academic and research careers in AI.
