His work focuses on ensuring that ethical considerations are integrated into every stage of AI research and innovation, helping to develop technologies that benefit society as a whole.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div id=\"\" class=\"element core-paragraph\">\n<p>As a key contributor to <a href=\"https:\/\/kinit.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Code-of-ethics-KInIT-final-20240701.pdf\">KInIT\u2019s Code of Ethics<\/a>, \u0160tefan plays a vital role in shaping the institute&#8217;s approach to ethical AI. He leads collaborations with industry partners, focusing on ethics-based assessments of AI systems. Through various projects, he has a special interest in exploring topics such as accountability in AI, biases in AI, and the ethical implications of AI anthropomorphism. He is also interested in the tensions between law and ethics as they relate to AI. Additionally, he is a member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/mirri.gov.sk\/sekcie\/investicie\/digitalne-inovacie\/stala-komisia-pre-etiku-a-regulaciu-umelej-inteligencie\/mapa-expertov\/\">Map of Experts for AI Ethics and Regulation<\/a>, contributing his expertise to guide ethical practices in the field.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div id=\"\" class=\"element core-paragraph\">\n<p>Beyond his daily responsibilities, \u0160tefan is committed to advocating for <a href=\"https:\/\/digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu\/en\/library\/ethics-guidelines-trustworthy-ai\">trustworthy AI<\/a>.
