Ethics and Human Values in Technology Internship

We are looking for a hard-working, curious and driven university student, who is capable of participating in research projects on ethics of intelligent technologies and conducting analysis of their ethical and societal impacts. We strive to offer this position to a person who is passionate about Slovakia developing trustworthy artificial intelligence.


Responsibilities

  • Communication with experts in the field of digital ethics and AI ethics especially, such as ethical issues around biometric technologies, or biases in artificial intelligence (AI)
  • Assistance in devising tools and methods for ethic-based assessments and audits of AI systems and big data projects
  • Active participation in data ethics workshops with technological teams, particularly in the field of intelligent technologies
  • Continuous study of literature and preparation of materials to be used in scholarly outputs (academic papers, research, conferences, reports, etc.)

Desired Profile

  • Profound interest and passion for AI ethics and questions thereof
  • Completed undergraduate studies (preferably in humanities or social sciences), or student in the final year of bachelor studies
  • Fluency in English
  • Autonomy and leadership (initiative) when it comes to problem solving
  • Fairness, openness and honesty
